The graphics created for this project convey the essence of the King of Pop, fully representing the dynamic fluidity and energy of his music and performances. Michael Jackson’s skill level and presence in the entertainment industry over the years has made his dance moves iconic. Because of this, we were able to create beautifully stylized silhouettes to represent the essence of who he was as a performer. For our title, we created a dramatic look, featuring footage from the film projected onto the iconic dance poses, and resolving with a larger-than-life title.

For such epic subject matter, we had to go equally dramatic with our graphics.

Modeling a 3D Mayan calendar proved to be an extensive undertaking, but once animated and incorporated with the 2012 footage, it all locked into place. For the 2012 title, ancient-looking carvings and written prophecies were added to the sides of the numbers to express predictions made by various cultures throughout history.

For the District 9 campaign, we wanted to create a look that emulated the gritty, realistic feel of the movie, so we took a more guerrilla approach: shooting our own footage to integrate into our graphics.

We called in our special team of cameramen and photographers, (two of our associates armed with the necessary equipment) and they captured some great footage and photographs of the District 9 billboards and bill posts throughout the city. Those elements were then combined with promotional D9 material, and dirtied up a bit to add to the realism.

Inspired by the futuristic chrome nanotechnology present in the game’s story, the graphics we did for this Metal Gear game stretched our 3D skills to new heights.

Animating the level of complexity we wanted was going to be a challenge, so we arrived at the solution of using fluid simulations in a new way to give the sense of vast amounts of micro-organic tentacles, and relied n lighting and texture to give it the metallic feel.

One of our first graphics projects to be partnered with our London office, the trailer for this film proved to be a downright fun adventure. We expressed the playfulness of the film, integrating a pirate theme into the cards and main title. We wanted to also play up the girliness of the film, so we opted for pink as a backplate color.

We wanted to give the brand a sleek, modern look, while still maintaining the fast pace associated with the franchise.

Using the speed and shifting of gears as transitions, we move from car to car as we gain speed. Reflected in some of the vehicles is the actual Los Angeles skyline, which we went out and filmed. As we progress through the series of cars, we see them evolve, as we aimed to do with the logo itself. The various looks of the car are also a reflection of the customization options the game provides.
