A movie this big warrants some eye-catching adverts, and this side-of-the-building billboard on Sunset Blvd. certainly garners some attention. Playing on the “what’s real, what’s not” element of Wonderland itself, the building is “pushed” up to reveal the billboard featuring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter.

With increasing popularity in using these gigantic building fronts for movie advertising, Disney definitely flexed its marketing muscle with this large-scale showcase of a featured character set in the scenery of Wonderland.

We’ve recently been emerged in the madness of Wonderland ourselves, having recently completed a trailer for the movie, which can be seen here.

Creating graphics to be viewed in this format meant there were many more elements to consider, but also allowed us to step outside the usual realm and witness our cards in 3D. To match the style of Tim Burton’s trippy take on this classic, we integrated an in-house font with backplates featuring iconic elements from the story, resulting in a unique, kaleidoscopic look.
