To match the fun vibe of country superstar Kenny Chesney’s Summer Tour, we amped up the lights and gave this trailer some of Chesney’s signature style. The incredibly quick turnaround time of this project presented us with the challenge of creating a trailer that expressed the laid back attitude of Kenny Chesney, but still captured the incredibly high energy levels of the tour, to be presented in 3D.

We showcased the music and choreography, accenting it with cards with some flair (and flare), to create a balance between the energetic and relaxed elements of the concert, and wrapped the piece up with a grand scale title featuring Chesney’s silhouette.

This project was a collaborative effort with Pixar, to seamlessly integrate our graphics with the graphics and artistic style of the movie.

The balloons we created for the TV spots, as well as the map cards for the trailer, which were combined with the actual balloon house animation used in the film, blurring the lines of film and commercial creation. All elements played on Up’s themes of adventure and playfulness.

Over the course of this project, our development was aided greatly by the fact that elements created by both us and Pixar were shared, and the lines of artistic communication were left open.
