After nursing our ailing reel back to health, cutting in all of our newest work and rescuing it from a meager SD life, we have decided it’s ready to release into the wild, in all of its newly HD glory.

With its rocket launchers and hood-mounted firearms, the Black Beauty is an integral part of the Green Hornet’s crime-fighting antics, making it a worthy vessel for our copy.

While all 3D car components featured in the cards were created in-house, we also had the opportunity to work with one of the actual Black Beauty models featured in the film. For the end title sequence, we gathered footage during a special shoot, then developed a scene wherein the camera moves past our heroes and through the Black Beauty, with the city showcased behind them.

For Nintendo’s upcoming third-person shooter, we combined watercolor-stylized game elements with sharp gameplay, allowing characters and firepower from the two contrasting worlds to interact.

A unique workflow was implemented for this project due to the fact that, while the piece is entirely graphic, a more editorial style was used to fit it together. To highlight the fast-paced, action-packed nature of the game, the watercolor scenes were woven together to make viewers feel as though they are flying through a stylized version of Sin and Punishment: Star Successor, weaving in and out of the screens displaying gameplay, as well as the integrated review quotes.

Receiving its introduction to the gaming world at Sony’s E3 press conference, this trailer offers a look into Kratos’ fabled past and ominous future.

We open by establishing the detail of the surrounding landscape, then build to our protagonist, who literally comes face to face with himself as a child (via puddle). As we hear the tale of his life, we conclude with a striking shot of Kratos as he draws his blades and gazes out at the dazzling city of Atlantis in front of him.

Having received only preliminary game models, the vast majority of character texturing, shading and lighting, in addition to all animation, was created in-house, making this piece our most involved CG project to date…but it’s only a hint of things to come.

Making its debut at E3 2010, the latest trailer for Enslaved introduces the audience to more of the game’s main characters, worlds and formidable mechanical foes. In the first trailer, we aimed to build the suspense of the story and focus on a few key elements. In this second installment, we maintained a similar look, but revealed more of the humanity and emotion of Enslaved by giving the audience a look into the psyche of Trip and Monkey through extended gameplay.

To capture Enslaved‘s overall themes of freedom, or a lack thereof, we integrated key elements of the characters into our graphics, then wove them together with the game’s dynamic gameplay to introduce viewers to this brand new franchise from Ninja Theory. Capturing all of the footage in-house with the Unreal Engine meant we were able to play through the game, and gather the scenes that demonstrated how explosive and beautiful this game is. We then tied together the footage and the intricate pieces of Monkey’s headband, building up to a character reveal.
