Rule #33: Zombies + Chainsaws = Awesome Title Sequence

April 5th, 2010 by nora

After finally sitting down and watching Zombieland, I realized within the first couple minutes that this was going to be a movie right up my alley. The opening sequence and subsequently featured rules are a great representation of the overall vibe; you know it’s all pretty messed up, but can’t help but enjoying yourself along the way.

Art of the Title Sequence has a great interview with Ben Conrad of Logan, the graphics house behind the opening sequence and rules featured in the movie. By integrating the text of the rules with the footage of the film, they actually became a character all their own in this uber-violent yet playful take on zombies.

Check out the interview and additional title sequence/rule images here.
